Tonight, for our first monthly meeting of 2014, our SinC/HI guest speaker is none other than A.J. Llewellyn, one of the contributing authors of MYSTERY IN PARADISE 13 Tales of Suspense, the anthology of mystery short stories set in Hawaii.
A.J. LLEWELLYN contributed her short story POI DOG: A Leilani Squires Honolulu Mystery. This Honolulu fraud examiner, Leilani Squires, thought it was going to be a dreary, rainy day in Waikiki, but appearances can be deceiving. A.J. is also the author of numerous novels available in book stores and on the Internet.
A.J. Llewellyn lives in California, but dreams of living in Hawaii. Frequent trips to all the islands, bags of Kona coffee in the fridge and a healthy collection of Hawaiian records keep this writer refueled. Her passion for the islands led to writing a play about the overthrow of Queen Lili'uokalani's kingdom. She never lacks inspiration for writing erotic romances but has many other passions: collecting books on Hawaiiana, surfing and spending time with family, friends and animal companions.
A.J. Llewellyn believes that love is a song best sung out loud.
We look forward to hearing all about A.J.'s secrets to a prolific writing career and about how she manages to publish at a feverish rate.
Sisters in Crime/Hawaii monthly meetings are held
on the third Wednesday of the month,
at The Makiki Community Library, 1527 Ke'eaumoku Street, Honolulu, HI,
from 6-8 p.m.
Free parking is available in the Ke'eaumoku and Makiki street parking lots and on Ke'eaumoku Street alongside the library.
